Weighing in at just 850kg, the Mazda MX-5 GT race car will accelerate from 0-to-60mph in just over three seconds and reach a top speed of 160mph. The built of the car has been challenging engineering to get the weight as low as possible using a strategy grams of Mazda as an inspiration. Jota Sport checking every nut and bolt to reduce weight of components and then match the strength to weight to give the lightest and most powerful ever built MX-5.

Jota Sport, engineering race car team that will run in the MSA British Britcar Endurance Championship series in 2011, when 400 hours to build a shell for a specification that ensures it is 17 times stronger than required by the FIA. During development, they face a number of engineering challenges such as suspension adjustment, integrating six-speed sequential gearbox, and lower the engine. On the exterior, the Mazda MX-5 GT offers Spirited Green Metallic body - the first in-Mazda MX 5 for the UK - are equipped with the company liveries Jota Sport orange and gray.

Mazda MX-5 GT car, prepared by the Tunbridge Wells based Jota Sport features mandatory FIA approved safety equipment including roll cage, race seats and harnesses, external power supply cut-off and fire, safety catch on the bonnet and boot lid, alloy wheels competition and steering wheel, while the running gear, axle gearbox, rear and the engine has been modified to improve performance.
