2012 Volkswagen Beetle

After more than 10 years in running the current incarnation, Volkswagen Beetle finally get the update, with new styles, engine options, and cabin technology. Update Beetle reflect similar changes in the new Jetta, showing the standardization of production for that model.

The original Beetle models have air-conditioning in the back, so no need for the front grille and radiator. Volkswagen engine moved forward, along with the wheels pushed, for versions 1998 and 2012 continue to update this layout. Although now sport radiator, Volkswagen put the air intake below the bumper in the new Beetle to preserve the original styling.



The most radical changes is the roofline that looks more like it in the first Beetle models. The roof is less rounded, which makes for better headroom in the rear. 2012 Volkswagen Beetle Turbo model also shows the accent side-step, which makes the features more clearly visible.

Volkswagen will offer three engine for the Beetle, 2-liter turbocharged four-cylinder made 200 horsepower, 2.5-liter five-cylinder makes 170 horsepower, and 2-liter four-cylinder diesel, with an output of 140 horsepower and 236 pound-feet of torque. Ring diesel version at 33 mpg, according to Volkswagen. Rear spoiler on the model shown is unique to the turbo version.



Unlike the original Beetle, the version currently has a large hatchback, the engine's moving forward. Volkswagen already has a two-door hatchback with a Golf, but the beetles gain his place in line with the style points. Turbo version gets two-tone, manually adjustable seats. Interior using good quality materials for an economy car, the general trend in the industry.

Control on the radius of the steering-wheel similar to that in the new Jetta. Volkswagen will make flash-based navigation system available on the Beetle, along with two different audio options. The top audio system Fender-brand, with 400 watt amp and subwoofer. Three transmissions are available for the Beetle, five-speed manual, six-speed automatic, and manual six-speed DSG automatic. The DSG is the automatic choice for turbo and diesel version of the Beetle.

Gauges for oil temp, battery, and increase the turbo sitting on the dashboard. Along with a touch-screen navigation system in the middle of the dashboard, Volkswagen included in the instrument cluster display for route guidance and travel information.
